Gemma Josephine is an actress and artist based in Brooklyn, New York.
A native New Yorker, she is a graduate of the BFA NYU Tisch Drama program from the Atlantic and Stonestreet Studios.
She has developed work at Williamstown Theatre Festival, The Public Theater, Built for Collapse, Dixon Place, Pete’s Candy Store, The Tank, The New Ohio Theater and The Brick.
Recent credits include Coriolanus (Public Theater), Homing Instinct (Upcoming Short Film), and Radium Girls (Netflix).
This past summer 2025, she produced a one-night-only benefit reading of There Are People That Are Dying, a new play by Justine Gelfman and Elizabeth O’Donnell at Dixon Place. The event sold out with over 130 audience members and featured a cast of 23, including 7 dancers. All proceeds supported IndieSpace’s emergency grant programs, which prioritize BIPOC, disabled/D/deaf, immigrant, and trans/gender-expansive artists experiencing food, housing, or mental health insecurity.
Gemma also works in casting as a freelance casting director. She has worked for Geoff Josselson Casting, JV8 Inc, Casting Double and The Telsey Office.
